Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa come back from Sardinia after a defeat (50:37) againstSaces Dike Napoli and a victory (58:50) against the host, C.U.S. Cagliari. They finished 3rd the “Lilli Coiana” trophy and could finally test their new team against two Serie A1 teams.
The first match was decided by a 0:11 scored in the first half by Saces Dike Napoli: the Sicilian team lost before the long break. Again Jelena Ivezic (17 points) and the two USA players Plenette Pierson (186-PF-81, 14 points) andAshley Walker (187-F/C-87, 10 points), made the difference for Ragusa.
“We have to work on the attack – explained Antonio Molino -: we should get to know each other better, we have to improve timing and choices. I’m satisfied by other sides of attack and because Ashley Walker and Plenette Pierson could play together. We’ve two weeks to be ready for the championship, that will have an higher level that last one.
